I have lived in Maryland for more than 25 years, and Annapolis is home.
I served as a Planning Commissioner, and I led the coalition that permanently preserved 733 acres of open space against a developer who wanted to build on it.
This spring I testified in favor of Bill 23-26, the bill to restrict developer contributions to County officials. I am the only candidate on the November ballot who did.

Why I am running
The decisions are made before you hear about them
Our district has not been properly represented, and I have seen how these decisions actually get made.
The real work happens upstream, in staff reports and draft language and planning meetings, long before anything reaches a public vote. By the time residents get a chance to speak, the outcome is usually already settled.
That is backwards. My goal is to bring residents into the process at the start, as partners, regardless of party affiliation, and to put their interests ahead of developers, political circles, and interest groups.
Whoever wins this seat will be making decisions for District 6 for the next four years.
